In spring the Junge Kunsthalle is presenting a real delicacy: the exhibition "Eat Me! Fruit and Vegetables in Art" shows artworks with delicious fruit and crunchy vegetables. The paintings and other exhibits are not only objects of aesthetic delight, they are also intended to be thought-provoking for the young audience.
With almost all kinds of fruit and vegetables being available throughout the year, young people in particular pose the questions: Where does our food come from? Where are our fruit and vegetables planted and by whom? What does fair trade mean and how can we contribute to that? What ecological footprint is left by 'healthy nutrition'?
"Eat Me" is taking place at the same time as the parallel exhibition "inventing nature".
